Prediction — Eagles vs. Cardinals

Ah, the NFC Championship that no one expected is taking place Sunday afternoon as the Philadelphia Eagles go against the Arizona Cardinals. That sounds weird doesn’t it?

The Cardinals who have been the symbol on mediocrity in the NFL for the past three decades out West have now put together a suprising a little run, and have the home field advantage on Sunday. Kurt Warner has had a career renaissance out there, while Matt Leinart is paid a whole lot of money to hold a clipboard; nevertheless, they have put together a strong season and their solid offense should make Sunday’s matchup a good one.

However, I don’t see them beating the Eagles.

Philadelphia’s amazing comeback from oblivion started with Arizona, and they will get through them to end up in the Super Bowl. MacNabb — despite his lapses mentally at times — has got his team on the warpath, and he’s been nothing short of great for the past two months. Andy Reid is a great coach again, and I cannot see them throwing this one away to Arizona, but as we know all conventional logic has gone out the window with these playoffs.

Prediction: Phildelphia 28, Arizona 20
