Ah, “Fresh Hands”, is back in Charm City on a minor league deal. Honestly, the Orioles should have never let this guy go, and after the trainwreck we saw at shortstop in 2008, you could see why.
From MLB Trade Rumors: According to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun, the Orioles signed infielder Chris Gomez to a minor league deal. Gomez signed with the Orioles as a free agent prior to the ’05 season and remained in the organization until the Indians took him off waivers in August of ’07.
Gomez is up there in age; however, you cannot deny the worth he had on the Oriole roster from 2005 to 2007.
